The New York Lighthouse Baptist Church, SBC Inc, is located in New York City, it is also an authentic Christian church based on vary of cell groups according to the foundation of Scriptures. The Lighthouse is affiliated to Southern Baptist Convention. From the end of 2003 God called Pastor Gu and his wife to start this Church under the leadership of Holy Spirit. They began different cell groups within three Boroughs. This type of church may seem new, but its origins go back to the earliest days of the Christian Church, where believers met primarily in each others homes. Much more than a weekly Bible study, the cells create an "extended family" atmosphere. Here, relationships run deep and meaningful friendships are made. As cells meet, there are opportunities to ask questions, to discuss, to laugh, to cry, and to pray with each other in a safe, non-threatening, informal atmosphere. From Oct 2007 the Metropolitan Baptist Church in Brooklyn offers with their classical building in order this new congregation feels free to worship the Lord. Previously named the Lower Manhattan Chinese Baptist Church, our church was renamed to the New York Lighthouse Baptist Church, SBC in 2004. The first Sunday worship was on August 31, 2003. The current activities include Sunday Worship, Bible Study, Family Cell Group, and Air Bible Study. To serve the community, we have established child care service. To equip the disciples, God led us to create the first Bible School, which its lectures are conducted by keynote speakers. You are welcome to join us anytime and anyways.
